Blog Wars: Return of the Tumblr

Well, it’s been a few months since I’ve even thought about tumblr. I wanted to come back to it and start blogging for frequently, but instead of this page being the home of “random posts about anything I like”, it will be solely based on my film work, and anything involved with that. I want to start this off with just looking back on 2011. This year rocked me, in the best way possible. I got to make 2 music videos, that have together hit over 50,000 thousand hits online. I’ve had the chance to make about 4 short films, and co-produce and direct for a 7 episode zombie web-series. I’ve had the awesome oppurtunity to work for shows like “Canada’s Got Talent”, as a production assistant, as well as perform background work for television shows like “Picnicface”, and the upcoming CBC series,  ”Mr. D”. I’ve worked with the likes of Molly Dunsworth, Jonathan Torrens, Gerry Dee, and more. I’ve gotten to meet people like Jason Eisner (“Hobo With a Shotgun”), Andrew Bush (Picnicface, “RollerTown”), and Michael Melski (“Charlie Zone”, “Growing Op”). I’ve even been a foot away from Pierce Brosnan. And to end the year off, I had the chance to make a film I really wanted to make, and that’s “The Sister”. Phew. That’s a lot, and I am feeling it now. This year, I saw opportunities and ran with this, without taking a break to breathe. Which, I’m feeling the effects of now. With “The Sister”, it took a lot out of me physically and mentally. The story is a very personal story to me, it’s deep and emotional, and it was hard to create it all for the screen. But, it came together so nicely, and I cannot wait to share it with everyone. Well, that’s enough for me. Check back often to this page for more on whats up with the film world I’ve been placed in. Everyone, have a merry christmas, and happy holidays. Cheers.
