American Psycho meets Dexter meets rock n’ roll. That’s how I’m describing the new/upcoming music video, “Slag Heaps”, from The Town Heroes that I recently shot and directed. You know what, throw in a little “Joker” from the Dark Knight in there as well. Mike and Bruce, the guitarist/vocalist and drummer for the band, have got to be the funnest people to work with. There is not limit to creativity with these guys. I wanted to “haul” out Mike’s tooth, we “hauled” out Mike’s tooth. Simple as that.

The concept of the video was that Bruce has kidnapped Mike, and Mike has to find a way to escape before Bruce uses his amazing and gruesome weapons on him. To say the least, it’s a bloody video. But, it’s got a bit of comedy to it, which is exactly what the Town Heroes are. They are creative and funny. Bruce, with slicked back hair and snake skin pants, had me almost in tears during this shoot. He looks like a complete psycho, and it makes the video that much better.

The video should be coming out in the coming weeks. I have to thank everyone who helped out on the video. From our Make-Up girls, to the band, to Carly MacKay (photography), the owners of the location who let us shoot there, as well as the production assistants that we unfortunately had to send home due to lack of space inside. You guys all rocked and it made this experience so fun, and made the video something to be proud of. Look for the video soon!
