On Thursday, Rosanna Burrill, 4 musicians, and myself hit The Peggy Corkum Music Room in Halifax to record the score for “The Sister”. Within two and a half hours, the recording was complete…and it sounded amazing. Rosanna Burrill was the composer of the score, spending countless nights writing the music for this film. I can’t express enough how much I appreciate what she did. The music sounds amazing, and reflects the film perfectly. The musicians were Hua-Chu Huang, Jeff Komar, Ben Marmen, Ria Kim, and Rosanna. What they did was bring the film to life. These are some of the most talented musicians I have ever had the pleasure of watching/hearing. They are headed up in their choice of career, and I believer will all have household names in the future. I thank them so much for what they did for the score. Another big thank you goes to Tyler Myalls, who recorded the score (for free) and is going to be mixing/editing the track. I had briefly worked with Tyler before on the Student Poverty Song and See You In September, so I knew he was the best person to be involved with this project. Again, thanks to all who helped on this score, Rosanna, the musicians, and Tyler. Soon, you’ll be able to hear the heart and soul they put into the music!
